There are a lot of moving parts in running a film festival.  Our goal is to get all your questions answered here.  If for some reason, there's something we missed, please email us at

We can't have a film festival without the movies.

SHORT FILMS - Please send us your films ASAP as our tech team likes to test each file and troubleshoot any issues well before the festival starts.  We ask that all short films be uploaded using the UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS HERE.

FEATURE FILMS -  If your feature film is not formatted into a DCP file, no worries.  Just upload your film with the above upload instructions.  If your feature film is available as a DCP, please contact Anderson William at to let him know and we can coordinate the shipping of your film's hard drive or digital DCP upload.

Each film represented will receive two (2) All-Access Film Passes* to the festival, which gives you access to all the film screenings, Film Talks, Filmmakers Welcome, and more.  If you have already added your two names to our ACCEPTANCE CONFIRMATION FORM, then you are all set.  If you need to change names or inform us of your attendance, please contact our ticketing manager, Mary Kate Piotrowski at to make any adjustments.  Between now and the festival, you will be receiving email confirmations of your All-Access Passes from our ticketing platform, Elevent.

All-Access Film Passes can be picked up at either of our screening locations on any of the festival days:

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth  |  3200 Darnell St, Fort Worth, TX 76107

Downtown Cowtown at the Isis  |  2401 N Main St, Fort Worth, TX 76164

*The All-Access Film Pass does not include access to the Lone Star Film Festival Gala or Gala After Party.  Both are separately ticketed events.

We understand that filmmakers have special guests that they would like to invite to their screening.  With our screening venue inventory, we are able to offer ten (10) complimentary tickets for feature films and six (six) complimentary tickets for short films, specific to your screening block.  By November 1st, each film will receive a unique discount code from our ticketing platform Elevent.  You will be able to share this code with your friends and family or enter the names yourself to arrange that your guests are confirmed for a ticket.  You must reserve online to get your tickets. Once you do, you'll receive the digital tickets sent to the email(s) you designate. Super easy.  Just show up for the screening with the digital tickets.

The City of Fort Worth is serviced by two airports with a variety of carriers and flights.  Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is the larger of the two airports and a little closer to Fort Worth than the more regional hub of Dallas Love Field (DAL).

Fort Worth has a wide assortment of hotel options.  The first two listed are directly next door to our screening locations.  The third location, Aloft Fort Worth Downtown, is where our festival room block is being held ($149 rate).

Spring Hill Suites Fort Worth Historic Stockyards (next to Downtown Cowtown at the Isis)

Home 2 Suites by Hilton Cultural District (across from the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth)

Aloft Fort Worth Downtown (Downtown - official hotel)

The Sinclair Hotel (Downtown District)

Hotel Drover (Stockyards District)

We are a grassroots organization that can relate to the spirited drive of independent filmmakers promoting their products.  As we follow each film's social media accounts, we ask that you do the same.  The three platforms we use are Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  Provide posts with our hashtag #LSFF2021 and we'll do everything we can to share, like, and engage from now through the end of the festival.  For any specific inquiries about our social media, please contact Ashton DeGroot at

With #LSFF2021 being our first in-person film festival in over 22 months, we want to make sure our audience and out-of-town guests feel safe during our four-day event.  Please take a moment to review our COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY STATEMENT.  The Lone Star Film Festival will follow all Federal and State requirements, along with each individual screening venue policy.  Our festival team (staff & volunteers) will be required to mask indoors and while working and we will encourage mask-wearing, sanitation, and social distancing.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our general email to reach the first available team member to respond.

Again, thanks for being a part of the 15th edition of the Lone Star Film Festival.  We are so very excited to be back in person in Fort Worth, Texas!
