SUMMER FILM CAMP INSTRUCTOR

​

 

The Lone Star Film Society 501c3 non-profit organization is in search of a paid Film Camp Instructor to work alongside the organization's Executive Director and other team members in the planning and execution of the Lone Star Film Festival SUMMER FILM CAMP at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.  Each film camp session provides our film camp attendees with the basic skills to write, direct, produce, and edit a movie.  Each film camp session will produce its very own short film, and film camp instructors will serve as Executive Producers on the projects, assisting the campers in their production.

 

We are looking for filmmakers with experience in one or more of the following skills:

  • Screenwriting - writing short scripts

  • Cinematography - lighting and camera knowledge

  • Sound - on-set sound recording and mixing

  • Editing -  editing projects on Adobe Premiere Pro

 

Work Schedule:
July 8 through August 2, 2024 (on-site workdays, weekends excluded), plus one to two pre-planning meetings before the camps open

We understand that not everyone can commit to a full four weeks, so we encourage applicants to let us know if they are available for any specific timeframe or individual days. 

​

Hours:

8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Weekdays)
 

Location:

On-site at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.

Compensation:
$200/day
 

Experience:
Filmmaking experience is required

SUMMER FILM CAMP PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

The Lone Star Film Society 501c3 non-profit organization is in search of a paid Film Camp Production Assistant to work alongside the organization's Executive Director and other team members in the planning and execution of the Lone Star Film Festival SUMMER FILM CAMP at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.  Each film camp session provides our film camp attendees with the basic skills to write, direct, produce, and edit a movie.  Each film camp session will produce its very own short film, and film camp instructors will serve as Executive Producers on the projects, assisting the campers in their production.

We are looking for assistants to:

  • Assistant film camp instructors and attendees throughout the learning process

  • Order and pick up daily lunch orders

  • Manage parent/participant paperwork

  • Move equipment signage and assist with setup and teardown

  • Be a positive team player that instructors and campers can look to for problem-solving

​

Hours:

8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Weekdays)
 

Location:

On-site at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.

​

Compensation:
$80/day
 

Experience:
No experience is required

Filmmaking experience is helpful
