DIRECTOR OF FESTIVAL OPERATIONS
​
The Lone Star Film Society 501c3 non-profit organization is in search of a temporary paid Director of Festival Operations to work alongside the organization's Executive Director and other team leaders in the planning and execution of the 17th annual Lone Star Film Festival (November 2023) in Fort Worth, Texas. Position duties include:

Maintaining box office website functionality

Volunteer recruitment, placement, and training

Training volunteers on point-of-sale transactions (passes, tickets, merch)

Maintaining accurate ticketing and merchandise inventory

Monitoring festival website schedule

Communication with social media team

Being the front-of-the-house lead hospitality representative
-
Working closely with LSFF tech and venue team to manage crowd flow

Liaison between filmmakers and festival

Partnership contact and festival representative

Work Schedule:
October 2 through November 10, 2023
​
Hours:
9 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday (flexible) (October 2 - October 27)
Full days during the Lone Star Film Festival week and weekend (October 31 - November 5)
Location:
Initially, remote
In-person office hours will start in October
On-site presence during the Lone Star Film Festival (November 3 - November 5) required
Compensation:
$4,000 over six weeks
Paid as an independent contractor (1099)

October 28 - $1,000
November 11 - $2,000

ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIP
The Lone Star Film Society 501c3 non-profit organization is in search of an unpaid Administrative Intern to work alongside the organization's Executive Director and other team leaders in the planning and execution of the 17th annual Lone Star Film Festival (November 2023) in Fort Worth, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to experience multiple jobs that may include:

Film programming

Travel coordination

Data entry

Ticketing and merchandise

Website updates

Social media oversight

Filmmaker correspondence

Festival attendee guest service
Work Schedule:
September 5 through November 17, 2023
Hours:
9 am - 3 pm, Monday through Thursday (flexible)
12-hour days during the Lone Star Film Festival week and weekend (October 30 - November 5)
