LONE STAR FILM FESTIVAL
ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIP
The Lone Star Film Society 501c3 non-profit organization is in search of an unpaid Administrative Intern to work alongside the organization's Executive Director and other team leaders in the planning and execution of the 17th annual Lone Star Film Festival (November 2023) in Fort Worth, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to experience multiple jobs that may include:

Film programming

Travel coordination
-
Data entry
-
Ticketing and merchandise
-
Website updates
-
Social media oversight
-
Filmmaker correspondence
-
Festival attendee guest service
Work Schedule:
August 7 through November 17, 2023
Hours:
9 am - 3 pm, Monday through Thursday (flexible)
12-hour days during the Lone Star Film Festival (November 3 - November 5)
Location:
Initially, remote
In-person office hours will start in September
On-site presence during the Lone Star Film Festival (November 3 - November 5) required

Compensation:
No pay
However, this intern will be eligible for paid positions depending on performance
Experience:
No experience required
Film enthusiasts, filmmakers, and customer service experience is encouraged

Background check
FILM INSTRUCTORS

Professional experience in one or more of the following areas to assist in teaching film camp students, please apply:

Screenwriting - assisting the students in crafting their story into a script for production

Acting - on-camera acting and auditioning

Directing / Producing - preproduction, managing a set, creating a schedule, shot list, postproduction

Sound Recording - recording the best possible sound on-set

Cinematography / Lighting - working with cameras and light

Editing - assisting in editing a final short film
Commitment Requirement:
One day minimum. Multiple days to full weeks will be considered.
Compensation:
$150/day rate (8 hours/per day) as a 1099 independent contractor
Additional Requirements
Required before work: a two-hour compliance training and background check.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
No filmmaking experience is required but recommended. Production Assistants will service the logistics of the film camp weeks, which includes:

Management Film Camp Attendee paperwork

Equipment loading and unloading
-
Coordinating Lunch orders and pickup

Assistant Instructors and Film Camp Attendees on the set or in the classroom

Organizing and cleaning the spaces that our film camp occupies
Commitment Requirement:
One-week minimum. Multiple weeks will be considered and encouraged as we need to fill four full weeks.
Compensation:
$80/day rate (8 hours/per day) as a 1099 independent contractor
